monochrome wishing

admittedly, i am still l.o.v.i.n.g monochrome, i just cant get enough of it so this wishlist is as easy as they come! ive had my eye on this cami from river island for ages now, its such a easy piece to wear and at £15 i should, shouldn't i really? aha i'm not so much into 'trends' i'm more into being comfortable and confident, to me that's what it's all about! i'm slightly in love with this jacket (the photo doesn't do it any justice!), bag and pair of boots from next right now, i might have to take the plunge with my birthday money and treat myself right.. i know the jacket and boots will be perfect for the upcoming months too, it's all about investment pieces and staying warm yet still looking fab! and on that note - i cant believe its 4 months until the *gasps* C word! (i am so excited!) i think its time to start saving...

what do you think? are there any trends you're loving at the moment?

SS13: Hues of blue

I have been completely obsessed with all things blue, the colour is just gorgeous and I think it compliments my pale skin tone well so I've decided to put together a little Lately Loving special! With my outfits I seem to stick to one colour during seasons and at the moment I'm all about Monochrome, anything black and white is  in my wardrobe but I'm so looking forward to SS13 (unlike me) that I want to add colour into my wardrobe and have more fun with what I wear I guess. What do you think?
This could clearly be a Topshop/Next special. And it doesn't stop there...
1. Jeans - River Island
2. Embroidered Top - Next
3. Skater Dress - Topshop
4. Gladstone Holdall - Topshop
5. Gladiator Sandals - Next
6. Dandy Trousers - Topshop
7. Cami - Topshop
8. Dandy Blazer - Topshop

Cute & quirky - A little bird told me

I hope you all had a fab weekend, mine was a nice stay a home kind of one as I'm putting all my energy into this blog and trying out quite a few recipes. We've got the house to ourselves for two weeks and now the boy is back at work I can take full advantage of the laptop, surf the world wide web and fall head over heels in love with everything I can not afford (I clearly cant be trusted).. but anyway long my travels I came across these beautiful illustrated posters from A little bird told me: a South London based illustrator Bryony Fripp via Notonthehighstreet.com... Ahh you'll soon come to realise anything handmade tugs on my heart strings and these do exactly that *smiles*

Lately loving

1) I love everything about these M&S cushions (here and here), from the tiny floral print to the lovely little quotes.
2) Red boots. This studded pair from Next and a burgundy pair in Miss Selfridge are my fav, I think it's fair to say I like to be different.
3) This River Island (obsessed) necklace is vintage inspired and cute. Do I need any other excuse?
4) Its a craft essential yet I STILL don't own one. I've always had a lot love for Cox and Cox and nothing changes when it comes to this Rotary Celebration Stamp. I believe this is what you call 'fate'.
5) Love at first sight. I believe me and this River Island shirt were made for each other, I'm so warming to collarless shirts and anyway, who wouldn't want to wear tiny Jupiter's?

So there you have it, the 5 things I'm currently dreaming, were mine.

H&M Home: Harbor Lounge

Forever lusting over H&M Home. Anything rustic really works so well with industrial pieces (big love of mine) and for me personally I find every collection of H&M's is perfect and so affordable! When I received their news email I couldn't wait to scroll through their images and save a sneaky one to my phone as I am such a geek like that! In my future house I don't plan a room without at least one exposed brick wall or wooden panels so of course I'm crazy about these images. Harbor Lounge is right up my street so take a look for yourself.

Little things

via "Let's Go Anywhere." Neon sign by Sarah Foelske, personal project.
I love love love neon lights. They're everywhere at the moment and when we have a place to call our own I've kinda promised myself we (meaning I) will get our initials or a personal quote/lyric. He's so unaware of this but he loves me and doesn't really have a choice. Smiles.
