Interior Stylin' - Sania Pell

All images via Sania Pell's blog
So it's true, I absolutely love Sania Pell's Interior Styling for Cox and Cox - I've always appreciated the way Cox & Cox style their products, I can easily scroll through their products just admiring the images and Sania's blog is definitely somewhere I run too when I need a burst of inspiration on anything from Interiors to crafts so when I found out she is the vision behind their products and images I was hooked. I completely admire the fact that Sania's aim was to show the customers ideas on how they could use the products, as well as showing the actual product itself, afterall just because you buy a product as it is doesn't necessarily mean it has to stay like that. I'm always on the look out for anything I can buy and turn into my own individual piece. I guess you could say I like to look further then what's infront of me (and there's always room for improvement right?) There's much more to Sania's blog then her styling for Cox & Cox, she's also styled for the likes of Liberty, Waitrose and another blog favourite of mine decor8 and then there's the brilliant DIY craft projects she shares too, so if you, like me simply need more click here, you wont look back. Promise.

Mothering Sunday

Anybody else feel like this year is going by really quick?
I for one cant wait for Spring to literally spring on us and for Winter to officially be over - it has definitely over stayed its welcome! So as its Mother's Day I'm going to share a quick diy I did earlier this month.

I helped my gorgeous nephew and niece make their mummy a card for her big day! As my nephew wasn't sure what should go on his card I told him mummy's like love hearts, flowers and butterflies* and off he went.
For my 3 week old nieces card I decided to keep it simple - paint her foot and quickly press it on the card! I decided to hand stamp her name on the front so it could later be framed and hung in her nursery.

I would like to wish all the wonderful moms out there a very Happy Mothers Day!

Not your average scrapbook

Yes, it's true I'm a complete sucker for stationary, even a visit to Staples (of all places) gets me a tad bit too excited. I've been a lover of the stuff since buying pencil cases and begging my mom that smelly gel pens were a necessity in Art, Textiles, Maths etc etc. Double underlining the date or lesson objective was so my thing back then. You could call me a complete geek.

There are so many products out there: sprays, glitters and machines along with layers upon layers of patterned paper and embellishments which are clearly for the hardcore scrapbooking fans - I bow to youI found the majority of the page designs to be over the top, frilly or old fashioned. This obviously wasn't for me, you could possibly say that I am the definition of 'Simplicity'.

The majority of my scrapbook pages are made using things I make and recycled bits and bobs I have lying around as well as items I made during my time attending a recent Interior Design course, all the writing is done on my beloved vintage typewriter and the newspaper cutting is a reproduction of a news paper printed in 1944, some papers are wrapping paper, wall paper cuttings and patterned paper from Paperchase.

That's my favourite part about craft - there are no rules; let your creative side out and use literally anything and everything!
