brass envy: urban outfitters

1 | 2 | 3

These lights are right up my street. I love the simple design and the fact that they could easily add the wow factor to any old room. Fuss free and low-costing, these brass beauties are available to buy from Urban Outfitters; The only downside? They're only available on the USA site *brings out worlds smallest violin* I'll forever want more things off the states site then our own (does anyone else feel the same or is it just me?) so for now I'll admire them from afar and add it to the wish list.

DIY headboard envy

via regines kreativiteter
Headboards. Personally it's something we've needed since we started living together but we never got around to actually getting one.. Don't judge me. I'm all about creating something you need yourself so all these headboards are unconventional, yet clever ways of doing exactly that. I love all of them and I'm pretty damn grateful all these talented people chose to share their ideas on the world wide web.. but I mean if I had to choose my top 2 favs (tough times) it would have to be the first 2 simply because of 3 things - bright white rooms, wooden panels and simplicity.
The image below is a complete favourite of mine - I'm a huge fan of this panelled headboard, the quote 'awake my soul' (a Mumford and Sons song) and the hanging photos are such personal touches, it's a clear winner in my eyes.

Weekend Joy

image via house to home
If your weathers anything like mine today creating your own magical secret garden inside will be our only option. It's my last weekend off before I go back to work and although I've loved sleeping in a few minutes longer (naughty body clock), I am looking forward to getting back into a routine and being super busy again!

Have a lovely weekend!..

Suitcase Heaven

Brace yourselves guys, you can now continue your obsession with vintage suitcases with this new leather suitcase furniture, Maarten De Ceulaer has just cleverly designed for Nilufar. I came across this while flicking through Flipboard and I just had to share it. I think this is so darn clever and I've never seen anything quite like it!

I think it's important to have things around us that make us smile and that's exactly what this furniture collection does. I love that you can buy a bunch of them to then switch around whenever you like: have them against a wall or in the middle of a room so they can open up on each side like this image above.

This would be perfect in an ultra modern open planned downstairs with wall length windows and white floors, you can picture it can't you *smiles*
This wardrobe is my absolute fav. Its brings me joy and you can't fight stuff like that, well I can't anyway.

Like this desk for instance could easily work in a children's bedroom or a home office. It's fun and practical, what more can you ask for?

Megan Morton's Things I Love

Simple mood board displays like this one always gets my heart jumping, I'd love to have a wall I could put all my inspiration on. The book is in 4 parts: Homes I Love, Things I Love, People I Love and Things I Love To Do. Interiors Stylist Megan Morton shares her enthusiasm for things, people and design in a way I haven't seem before, splitting pages from Things I Love into post cards adding a fun twist on sharing practical tips and ways to display your worst clutter.
I love the simplicity of this room from the sanded down walls to the wooden ladder. Still loving old wooden ladders, who would of thought they'd add such charm and interest?
I'm so ready to 'Get my magpie on'
I'm a sucker for sweet one liners like this. I like to imagine we live like this because lets face it, a girl loves to dream. The post card section is my ultimate fav. To me these are miniature posters and lets just say I love art/typographic posters so its a win win.
What design books get you inspired?

H&M Home: Harbor Lounge

Forever lusting over H&M Home. Anything rustic really works so well with industrial pieces (big love of mine) and for me personally I find every collection of H&M's is perfect and so affordable! When I received their news email I couldn't wait to scroll through their images and save a sneaky one to my phone as I am such a geek like that! In my future house I don't plan a room without at least one exposed brick wall or wooden panels so of course I'm crazy about these images. Harbor Lounge is right up my street so take a look for yourself.

Little things

via "Let's Go Anywhere." Neon sign by Sarah Foelske, personal project.
I love love love neon lights. They're everywhere at the moment and when we have a place to call our own I've kinda promised myself we (meaning I) will get our initials or a personal quote/lyric. He's so unaware of this but he loves me and doesn't really have a choice. Smiles.

Out on my own

Hello and welcome to Enjoy Every Moment! I've set this blog up because I'm constantly filling up my photo albums, laptop memory and brain with all things design, craft, lifestyle and interiors that I thought sharing them on here with like minded people would be the 'healthy' next step, so I hope you enjoy it and here goes nothing eh?!

Here's a sneak peak into one of my favourite books The Natural Home. I absolutely love this book, it's full of inspirational ways to style your home if you prefer the natural way of living, every page is stunning filled with natural materials, industrial touches (my absolute fav), vintage finds and earthy tones.
